Introduction
Welcome to Ogibayashi laboratory Chiba Institute of Technology.
Our research field is an agent-based modeling and simulation of various macro phenomena of social systems including business and economic systems. In corporate management and public policy-making, it is required to do strategic decision making utilizing the methods and concepts of scientific management. Agent-based modeling is a promising methodology for analyzing social systems, in the sense that it is a bottom-up method and can reproduce macro phenomena based on the same principle as in the real world; all of the macro phenomena emerge as a result of individual decision maker’s actions and their interactions..
Our aim is to elucidate the mechanism of various behaviors in social and economic systems in one hand and to educate skilled persons who are good at scientifically solving problems by utilizing information technology, management methodologies and systems thinking in another hand.
